Guess whose back... So I'm about to get back blogging... Past time.

So needles to remind everyone its Christmas time. I normally don't even acknowledge its coming until after the 17th. (Being a Christmas Baby its often hard to enjoy your day without it being over shadowed with Christmas things lol) Anywho. I've been shopping endlessly for my little brothers gifts.. He's @ that age where he is asking for less toys and more clothes and music. I'm beyond happy!!!! So when I saw that an MP3 player was at the top of his list.... STOP PLAYING!!!! I got it for him that same day!! Now the problem came of what to put on the thing.... I'm old so I just asked him what artist was he into these days.... I clutched all 52 of my pearls when he ran down his list that had everyone from Prince yes thanks to my mother he wants Prince. My 9 year old brother likes Prince.... (No words) dirty Money Rick Ross LiL Wayne and Rihanna.... I puts yep puts my foot down @ Rihanna.... I can't support such foolishness!!!!! So say I'm wrong or right I had to step in... And throw some vintage on there. Tribe Called Quest, Fugees, Ozy Reigns, Charles Herron, Boog Brown, B.O.B. I just couldn't let it go down like that. You have to educate the kids on musics beyond the mainstream.

WOW talk about a crazy Valentines day. So I switched the same up this year! Instead of trying to be boo caking with someone I decided to go to the Goodie M.O.B. reunion show.... (Needless to say this was a EZ decision to make you can cup cake any day!But how many times you going to get to see Goobie M.O.B. (all of them!!!) And Bobby Ray... Boy stop!) So I decided to treat one of my fav cousins and bring her with! And we rocked the hell out! That was a good ass show!!! For real!!!
So D.R. was the opening act. He's one of the best DJ's round these parts for real. He keeps the party going!!!!!!! If you going to a party he DJ-ing please wear your comffy stiletto's or flats! Because he about to have you moving! I was almost beyond tired by the time B.O.B. came out! (Yeah he is that serious!) So B.O.B. came and rocked it. Now this is funny... He came on and me and my wonderful twitting skillz twitted. decided to do a few tweets about what I saw. so after he jumps right off the stage and comes and rocks out with your girl one time. They announced they were going to do something they don't normally do.... They say we going to call someone from twitter up... who is Empress Journee' (Yeah a chick had a slow moment.... I look @ my cousin and was like ...... that sounds like my name..... lol they read the twit... and up I go... to get that Bobby Ray VIP treatment... I'm not one to start no rumors but look how he looking all lovingly in my eyes lol. (let me have my fantasy ha) Hay I don't know if its my whip appeal or my baby face lol. Now I'm the one not to do a lot of drinking or none of that carrying on... But some how some way I got messed up last night! (I wasn't driving) So my girls came to town and we decided to hit up this chill spot... That has waaaaay 2 many steps dips and trips to trap a lady wearing heels up when she been drinking. LOL Waaaay too many! So my 1st spill was taken while walking out of VIP! It was more of a slip but since my butt touched the step we shall call it a fall... I just sat there for a sec. But recovered..... Met up with my play brother... What up Josh!!! He came to kick it with the ladies.... And my other homie.... We chilled out for a sec. Then made a break for it. This is when I went tumbling down the parking lot.Talk about random as hell.... I fell down the lot. And if you haven't caught on by now. "I'm a whole lotta woman" This was a hella hard fall... But good friends hold you down and pick you up... So I made it to the back seat safely a little sandy where the hell did sand come from... I don't know.. But I made it. All the way to the waffle house.... where i couldn't finish my food because crazy's want to go and shoot up the waffle house. now really who do shit like that??? Tacky ass niccas....But I had fun... I love hanging with my girls... And a big blog hug go out to my sis Sheena for hooking up my hair!!!

010 Photo Shoot

Clearly Bangnat Radio has been my pet project for the last few years. But in 2009 things started coming together. We have started droppin the podcast (major thanks to everyone who has taken a listen!!!) But in the 010 we going to do it again. but bigger. My web designer is hard at work revamping the site. So you know we had to hit you with the new new.... Take a look @ one of the shoots we got. Thats me and my co-host K.B.(who just so happens to be one of my bestest friends in the world. We have been friends 10 years strong right now. Just thought I would throw that out there). But everything is happening. Keep your eyes open. Because we are here now!!!!!!

But you know I can't go nowhere without some pure foolishness happening. I guess my first ride on public transpo wasn't any different! For this photo shoot we took it to Charlotte's light Rail. And honestly I was waiting on a Marta girl moment! One that I didn't cause myself. LOL. Because until we met Eugene, me falling and busting my ass in the middle of the shoot... and Kevin getting pictures of the whole way down was the high light of the night. But nope.... Thanks to Eugene my mere fall was wiped off the map!!! YAY. So at this time my stylist had my flip. Sooooo blame her for not getting this greatness. she was slippin HARD. As we sat on the train. A toothless (I'm not saying he was a alcoholic, but its safe to say he aint been sober in a number of days.) sat right in the middle of us, and just went in!!!! Now Mr. Eugene looked suspect from the get go. I thought he was nakee under his trench coat!!!! Come to have it I wasn't alone in this thinking. Because he keep tuggin at his coat. And his clothes seemed to be as missin as his teeth. But who knew. He just started talking to Kevin and Bish like "Dem ladies over there fine" (talkin about my stylist and i). but the kicker was..... He seemed to be gay. But as many shades he was to the wind... hell I don't think it would really matter rather he had fish or fish sticks on his plate. He informed us t the next stop we were going to get off and go dancing.... when we said that we had work in the morning and it was already late. He let us know that he didn't care!!!! We were going dancing. So at this point it had already been decided through strong eye signals that we were getting off at the opposite stop as Mr. Eugene. I mean this man came out the darkness.... I have no idea when he got on. I'm just happy that crazy got off. lol

So as promised... Its the first day of 2010 and I am already blogging more then I did last year lol. So first things first!!! Happy New Years

My year started off @ a club lol. I know crazy I am so not a Charlotte club chick. But I did run into a bunch of fam and friends in the club. But it was super packed! I mean to the point where you could not move around packed. VIP meant pretty much nothing. Because it seemed that was over packed too. But the whole night brought me to this one theory!

The club is absolutely no place for a fiver footer!!!!!! I stand five foot flat. Period not comma ! I was bopped in the head, stepped on, people dropped stuff on me, o and how can I forget I was burnt with a cigarette (then kat daps me up! What the hell.... He burns me in the club with a cigarette then wants to dap me on my freaking hand he burnt!!!! But I did not jump on him like a spider monkey! But I remained cool!!! With everything that went wrong, I just enjoyed being with my crew. Now where do we go from here.... who knows.... Guess you have to keep reading... But I will tell you this! In 2010 please respect the short people!!! We are going to make a come back and run the world, like and i honestly do not think you want that problem!

Empress Journee 2009 Wrap Up

So standing here on the dawn of 2010, I cannot help but look over the passed year. And I just want to recap the goinz of what happen! Compared to 2008 this was the best fucking year ever!!! Let's see... I started the year off with a bang, LOL I should have known it was going to be bonkers.... This is my 1st year being single since the divorce. I had honestly forgot how
crazy dating can be. From the crazy who has been trying to get his ish together for the last five years. I do not know what the hell that was about! And who can forgot the crazy who had a bitch fit because I did not sit on what you thought was the proper side of the table for a young lady to sit on.... In real life... What is wrong with guys these days? I happen to run into a bunch of crazys from my past... who just reminded me why they were just that my passed.

I also got a chance to show my best friend Ozy the west coast for the 1st time. We had a ball from laughing at the crazys on Venice Beach, to just the whole feel and vybe. He liked it so much he moved to LA in October. I miss him. But I will be moving to the west coast in 2010 too. So things are about to switch up. Ozy was also in a movie coming out in 2010 called Pathways!!! I cannot wait to see it.

I was also in four videos this year. If I had a fat ass I would be a vexen!!! LoL. Watch out!!!

I got to go to my very 1st SC Music Awards! It was different! i will tell you like this. That was one for the record books. One way or another.

I also did something I do not ever see happening again! Chick went on a cross country road trip. WOOOOOW Drove from Greensboro NC to Denver CO! I do not see myself ever doing that again! Not never!!!!

This year I was able to start my podcast and net radio station Bangnat-Radio.com (still working out the kinks but so on deck... in the mean time check out the podcast bangnatradio.podomatic.com we are a few shows deep and getting a good response.... So we just going to keep tellin whats on our mind.... Mad love going out to KB!!!)

Closer to the end I was interviewed as a part of this documentary that my homie What What (He hates when I call him that!!!!) But if you're on twitter -> @Mehkavelli I cannot wait to see this. There is really no reason for traffic.

As I make that long commute to work each day. It hits me, like a stack of rocks. I know why there is traffic in cities across the US. So sit back. EJ is about to break it down! So it will forever and consistently be BROKE! There are only I’m going to say 10 or so people who cause morning and afternoon traffic. If there isn’t an accident! Car trouble! Or road-work! It’s no reason for traffic. NONE WHAT SO EVER!!!!

They are dreading the work day ahead. There for they will go 35 on the highway just to prolong their arrival. Since they don’t want to get to work, they don’t want you to get to work on time either. Thus the traffic jams. (Yes we have a few people who are just running late and want to shave or brush their teeth while driving. But the one’s I’ve encountered haven’t held up traffic. Just put other people in jeopardy…)

OK Some folk say if you don't have nothing nice to say then say Nathan. (There for they don't talk that much.) But my mother says if you have something on your mind let it off! And that's what I do. I have to touch on so much. I V-Blogged a little bit but hell its not enough I must drop the blog. Yesterday I went to the SC Music Awards in Columbia SC. Now 1st I have to show love to my SC folk in which I went down there to support. The folk who always support the moves I make in my career! They know all they have to do is ask and they will get! Anywho. The show got started a little late. Which was to be expected. It happens... NO biggie. (nope im not use to standing out side in the hot that long... But like i said this wasn't about me. I was up for an award. Wasn't giving one out. I honestly went just to show love!) Now pause for the cause. Just EJ's personal thought $40 to see a bunch of unsigned folk... Is a wee bit much! Shit should have been $25 hell $30 @ the most. Not like Nelly was coming out giving lap dances. And Kanye doing foot rubs. But fuck it. I drove a hour to hold it down. So I put the $40 down. Now I have to show major love to my graphic designer Chris who came and held it down with me. Drove all the way from the Triangle to be there . Man just thought about it. We didn't even get a pic together! :-( Anyway I don't even know where to start... I guess I will start @ what stood out to me 1st. The chick in her prom dress. WOOOOOOOW She walked by me like 5 times and I was never ready with the camera on deck. I know it was her prom dress because she screamed it out loud as hell in the line..... And blamed it on the recession! I think not! I had to shake my head....But I want to personally thank chick for being my entertainment during such a long line. Now the other group that caught my eye that did an amazing job was Team Irac. Now they put on a fucking show!!!! They had back up dancers that were going to get it. All on the same dance at the same time! Very well put together. But I'm sorry the lady back up dancer with the Fro put the other one to shame. The didn't even need two the way she was going to get it. In real life chick needs to be a back up dancer on someones tour RIGHT NOW! She was doing her thing. Compared. The other chick was blah. And I'm so jello! They outfits were spiffy as hell!!!! They get major points in my book. And I didn't even mind the two million people on stage. Why do I feel differently about their two million people on stage. Because they weren't up there the whole. Time. When the I guess biggest song came on. Or the one everyone knew came on. Then people rushed the stage. Major difference. This kats are nice. Now I have to shake my head at a few things.... 1 the video I saw called "Shake it like a donkey!" wow.... no words for that. I've been in this game for a while now. And I've been in a club "rain" storm more then once. (IE someone making it rain) And I'm still amazingly shocked at how people will run knock other folk down for a few singles. I'm sure the most anyone person got was $5. And I be damn if i run and knock down old women and kids to get $5. Hell I guess I got a big Ego!

Random Mess Up: Now the best random mess up of the night was the chick trying to be cute and announce the "winner" and bust out "And the winter is?" The winter is cold we know but who is the winner lol. Sorry that tripped me out.

Now I have to give much love to the singers that blessed the stage. They had some amazing talent on that front. I really missed a lot of the groups names and people names do to the host. I could only understand like every three words that came out his mouth! Between his accent and drunkenness I really don't know what to say... Well I do ok honestly I'm not from SC and I really don't know much about their promoters down there. I know a few. So I don't know who this man is to SC! But I do know that they should have got someone else to host the show. 1st he was drunk. I mean to the point where everything he said sound like ramblings. (to me.) And he didn't say nothing funny! Not nothing. Just kept talking about how he had drink in his cup! (I call it drink but I mean alcohol). And by the end of the show this kat was gone! He started doing this lip popping thing that worked my nerves to no end! I had to V-Blog about it....
And I also noticed that a few of those rappers last night was knocking on 40 still trying to rap.... WOW....
And needless to say how much tht drunkingness errrked me so I had to do it a part two of some sorts.

OK I so I'm late on telling the group that I finish reading the 3rd book in the A Bentley Manor Tale's lol. The last one I spoke on was Desperate Hoodwives http://empressjournee.blogspot.com/2009/02/i-read-too.html which was BONKERS!!!!!!!! And I didn't think any book could top that one. And the 3rd one didn't. I will be honest. But hell (I don't want to give the 2nd book away for some of you. But trust its hard to beat some of that stuff. lol) but The Hood Life is still a good read. Real good read. This book is from the male point of view. And It will still have you rereading lines trying to make sure you understood certain things right. This book had m mouth open on some wooooooooooooooow that's FUCKED UP.
Its still crazy but it has me thinking wow will there be another book or is this the end.... This is def another one for the collection.

So in my lifetime I wont lie. I've ran through my share of jobs. And hell I ran into my share of crazys and ass holes a like. And this weekend I have had to be the ass hole in the situation more then normal. (People were wilding out this weekend. I had to put the pimp hand down real strong....) But it got me to thinking about my top ass hole moments. And I guess this story starts with me and a crack head name Romeo. I can't front. So when boss appreciation day came around. My team wanted to all put in $10 and buy our boss some flowers. My ass called "BULLSHIT" on this whole idea. Seeing it was 8 people on our team. 8x10= $80 and me going in on some $80 flowers. Wasn't going to happen. Not on no fake chick I didn't even like. FUUUUUUUUUCK that. And why should I spend $10 on a gift when I had the perfect gift... 2 Liter sodas and a bag full of candy and all for 15cent. The perrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect gift. (cheese) I think I enjoyed watching her eat that candy too much. Wondering if she knew where I got it from would she still have ate it.... (No it wasn't open or damaged. It honestly look like it came from a grab and run.) But hell I wasn't about to eat or drink that mess. Shiiiiiit. Brings a whole new meaning to "on the rocks." now had she not lied on me and been a prick bitch to me. She could have got $10 on it. But nope she just had to push my buttons. I ran into her the other day and just started laughing. The thought never gets old to me. I like to look at it as a personal win.

Yes it is time for another Public Journee' Announcement. This is going out to all my fast food workers. Now I feel it necessary to address this before it go any further. Now the funny part is I'm not even a fast food type person. I really rocks with the deli's you dig. But being on the road like I have been only reminded me that this needs to be addressed!!!! This has been going on for YEARS. And no one has spoken up against it. But o TODAY's The Day Empress Journee' has had ENOUGH. I am so FUCKING tired of these fast food workers with these FUCKING attitudes. Lets just get this 1st point out the way..... I never ever put a gun to no one's head and made them work @ Micky D's Captain D's or Burger King. NOPE I haven't. I never told anyone they better sling these fries or they getting put out of the house. NOT NEVER. I never went to no restaurant and filled out a application for no fucking body.... So I see no reason for anyone to cop a tude with me because they chose to work at this place. Hell its a recession they should be fucking happy to have a job $5 an hour and all. Fuck it. But really the attitude is played. I have been o like 8 states in the last week. And each and everyone had fast food workers who needed a strong Ike Turner back hand. ALL OF THEM. But honestly I'm not even going to put this type of behavior on the recession its been going on for years. PEOPLE! Some fast food people push you to the limits. I have had a life time of examples I could share with you. But i will simply share two. Because these two are more then enough. These fools here. Hell i hate when they always try and make it seem like you said or did that made them mess up your order. Or how they act like its just such a bother to give you sauce they should have gave you in the first damn place. Now the 1st example of fast food gone wrong has to be.... When I was @ BK (This was when I was back in college. Yes I use to eat beef) But I went to BK and Asked for a whopper! And they said they didn't have any more burgers. How is Burger King not going to have BURGERS?????? I said "say what?" and he cops a tude like I tossed out all the meat like patties lol. That was just odd....

But for real this one time I was @ BK. My Ex husband was sick as hell. I had 2 get his cold meds etc and get him something to eat (Ladies should know when some men get sick its just EXTRA. Wouldn't have had no time to cook!) So I stopped by BK (I'm starting to see a trend!) where I ordered a chicken sandwich w/ tartar sauce. (BK said I can have it my way so I ordered it my way) & like a Milk Shake and whopper.... So when I get the food chick gives me a Fish sandwich. I told her it wasn't right. She just starts to blank. So I push it into bitch mode. "I'm not moving until you fix the order." She did ask me to move up. But NOPE. She had already been hella mean and rude to me. So I said I would sit there until they got it right everyone else would have to wait... As I had to. This makes her madder. So this bitch did something "So disrespectful" (In my Big Boy from ATL voice) She threw the food in the car. Food flew all over the car. BULLSHIT. I went through that window so fast to go get her.... Hubby grabbed my ankle before I could grab her. But I did throw a milk shake all in her face. She was really cut-n up. Beyond cut-n up. I bet she didn't throw nothing at no one else no more.... I'm just fucking tired of these people taking out their job situation on me. Don't flip me the bird because you flipping burgers. If you don't like working there then do something about it. Because I didn't do it to you.

My Cross Country Trip

OK I have been m.i.a. lately for two reasons. One my lap top battery passed away and it took forever for the other one to ship to me. And B. I took a cross country road trip. But I'm jumping ahead of myself. You see. A member of the Stiletto Squad has decided to move across the world lol. OK to Denver. But its not like that's hella close. So she asked me to help her drive from Greensboro NC to Denver CO (YEP DRIVE!!!) So after her going away party (The Stiletto Squad @ The Red Bowl) Then it was time for the trip.... Sadly most of the best pic's came @ night when it was pitch black. But we were rolling.

had I never gone to some of these places. So had I not gone I wouldn't have known how bloody much I HATE KANSAS... I HATE IT.... I found myself just making ugly faces in the car at the thought of how long it took to get out that state. 9 HOURS to get out that state is CRAZY.... It was the state that wouldn't end. On top of that it was HOT!!! I mean its the devils ass cheek and all the hell he do is fart dry air. I was ever so unhappy! And it seems like a non-stop compost pile through out the whole state. The highlight of Kansas was the Windmills o and during long hour stretches of Kansas highway they don't have gas stations. We were running out of gas on one of these stretches.... The drama of finding a station. NEVER travel without a GpS. Talk about a life saver! The gas station was behind three corn fields and some woods. Then out of nowhere there's this little one light town and no brown people. I felt like I was in he real life Tommy Knockers. Me no like-e.

Errrr 29 hours later we finally touched down in Denver. It was cool but I know its clear that I am far from a midwest chick. FAR!!! The weather was too much... One minute its a million and two degrees... And the next its -38 raining. Its crazy. So not my style. So I left Denver and flew YES FLEW (I didn't want to ride in a car for the longest after that car ride. But i took it up north east coast lol. I said it once before I'm such a east coast bitch. lol <- (in case you missed it) I was overly happy to make it the east weather was very nice. Even got to spend some time in NY! few clips from that. I found this to be hella random in a shopping center
I had the best slice !!!! I promise I would move to NY for the food and to date!!! LOL But the smell was a little much for me. Hung out in Trump Towers man it was a nice chill type place.
Even had my fav treat waiting on me ! Really I felt so spoiled. But I had to come home it had been a very looooooooong week. I have honestly slept for like two days. All so I can turn around and do it again..... This time i'm hitting up the south.

I just had a flashback moment. Which I thought I would share.
In the Indie Hip Hop world I can say with comfort my name is out there. I do what I do and I do a damn good job... But I like to keep a low profile. I know online I have some pics with the make up on. But in real life I'm one of the most natural chicks you have ever met. I wear the glam look to events because I am under contract with Glam Inc. The badest chicks out here doing it. Hair Make Up whatever its nothing. They keep me jazzy {if your on twitter @EraKanika scream @ your girl grab an appointment Charlotte NC}. But trust on the everyday its rare you will see me with make up on. I have no clue on where to start there. And in short. No time for it. And for some reason my pics make me look waaaaay taller then what I am. I'm 5 foot flat. All day. No hopes of being 5'1 lol. To the story.... So I went to handle some business @ this mall... I had a lot of folk I did business with in there so I always made time to speak to everyone when I was in the area. Now on this one day I was just running in and out had to pick up this outfit that was made for me. :-) o how I love my one of a kind gear. But before I went I stopped by my fav. record store to speak to my ace. I didn't want anything but to dap him up fast hug and keep it moving. He was talking so I just went behind the case gave him a hug. And was about to leave when the guy he was talking to just spassed. "That was so fucking rude...." This that and the 3rd. Now the old me would have been matching his ass spass for spass. But the old me is tired. I don't want to do no more fussin..... So I give him the slow look. Dap my partner and left.... Buggin off how random that shit was. So I go speak to my other folk have a good time. So I was on my way out when kat ran me down. I had my hand on my bag (it would be in your best interest not to go in this mall without.... shall we say a "friend"). He said to me all out of breath.... "Yo **** just told me who you were... I'm sorry lil lady... He told me I shouldn't just blank on people like that because you never know who they may be... But yo I'm a rapper...." Asked me for this that and the 3rd.... Gave me his math.... then said "Your not going to call me are you?!?!?!?!" LMAO I just walked off.... I had a great laugh about this in the car. You see that's the joy you have when you work for yourself. You pick who you want to work with. And me its never been about the money with me. I do alright for myself left or right. So sure I could have over charged him... But I rather just flex my power lol..... And I feel I was able to teach him a life lesson...

I have to touch on this topic. I'm shocked I haven't said anything before tonight. But this is errrrking the hell out of me. I know guys think there is always one hating female in a group of females. But let me drop this knowledge on you. There is always one ugly friend in your crew. (This may hold true to females. But hell i'm talking about the guys tonight. I may feel the need to talk about females tomorrow.) So I will start with this thing I have noticed.
When a group of guys meet a group of girls.... It seems the following holds true.

There is a un-noted rule in the guys head thinking.... "Its three of them and three of us. This is a win win.

Wrong. I'm just saying.. just because the numbers match don't mean the personalities are going to match so don't push it!

Why is it the ugly-est guy out the crew always the one who talk the most shit?

OK ex. I went to a cookout the other night. One of my homegirls homeboy invited us over. (Kat can cook I wont front.) So he had a few and i do mean "FEW" of his homeboys over... ie three... (but it was four of us and then two random chicks who just seemed lost and out of place.)

Anywho

I can honestly tell you one of his friends was DAMN DAMN DAMN (in my Florida Evans voice) His mother knew what she was doing when she made him. FLY! Man.... I get excited @ the flash back of this guy. He was NYYYYYYYYYYCE! The other friend was a cutie. Loved his smile had mad sex appeal. He was mos def above average. Good job @ picking those friends to our host lol. (And I honestly feel a trip to Florida if that's how they are pumping them out. I'm so in the wrong place lol) So the evening was going well. Good food drinking games... good shit....

Memorial Day Weekend

& see some of the prettiest women you have ever seen. Hell we trying to figure out who do their hair So I have to admit I had one of the most amazing memorial day weekends. Short break down. I can say it started Thursday when I got to go to speed street with my homie Bis. & got to see foolishness as far as the eye could see (you know I was like a kid in the candy store) But more importantly I got to see wait for it.... BBD! (O you don't believe me). and they still got it. These older men look like they did when they were 12! They have aged very well! Yeah suck on some of that greatness for a second. We saw this chick get 100 BOO-ED off stage! Not once but TWICE! I didn't even have the flip ready. I know I suck. So Friday I was suppose to go to DC for the weekend. But two members of the Stiletto Squad ring me up and tell me we are going on tour. (what we call road trips lol.) So I hope in the car. & where do we go? ATL!!!! Got there in time 2 Check Ozy Reigns set @ Apache Cafe. But not before we got caught off guard by ATL night life. We rolling down 4thlol. Come to have it they were men on the stroll. O i can't wait to see that hookers on the point on HBO! Why it hasn't come out yet I don't know. It was a real cool ATL trip because I didn't have to work. & got to hang out & shop w/ the girls. The underground was a treat! So many interesting people. VERY interesting! (Hell I even ran into my graphic designer in the underground! He stay in NC like me. That was a nice surprise hell I haven't seen him since like 06. O the wonders of the Internet. Keeping friends together lol.) Its a different type of breed of man down there. They say whatever & don't care! Yes those on my twitter know what i'm about to say. But i had on a pretty low cut halter top. (I have like one pic of me from that day I have 2 get it from my graphic designer.) But this guy grabs my hand and says "Yeah I've been thinking.... & I want you to be my girl friend." Me being the slow ass that I am just bust out laughing. It was hella funny. Then he looks down and says "Yeah you must have put butter on your titties when you were younger." It was done deal from that point on. You know I had to marry him right... And that's how I met my 2nd husband. (Lies I tell. But I did laugh uncontrollably until I almost passed out!) lol. And I'm about to make all ya'll jelous! Yep. Because I got to see the Kool-Aid man. Aight it wasn't the real kool-aid man... It was a women dressed up as the kool-aid man. Ok I tell the truth it was a women in all red who put me in the mind set of the kool-aid man. Even her braids were red. But her whole outfit was like five different reds. We called it dusty reds! But all around the underground we screamed out kool-aid. hoping she would bust through a wall and have a few cups in her hand. (yeah we can be mean when we want to be but really I wanted to know. ) We ended up going to this pool hall later that night and kooling out. Nice relax setting. The guys @ the pool hall were no diff from the guys @ the underground. Not being able to take NO for an answer! But o the things we ladies come up with in order to swat a fly! LOL. Classic lines were made up that day. Lines I will never forget! (I would drop some but who knows if one of those no-blockers are following me. lol good to keep some things on the ground low.) But ATL was so much fun what a treat. I laughed and smiled the WHOLE time down there. But we had to leave for our beach trip! Yep we went to the beach for "Black Bike Week" which was a little lacking from previous years because of all the hating some of the folk @ Myrtle Beach did! But we met a lot of business owners who was very upset that the town did this to some of their busy-est times. You can tell they lost a LOT of money! Its real sad. In a little bit the Myrtle Beach we know will be a thing of the pass. & Trump is going to come down and take over & change everything. I said it mark my words. But we had a ball. Much love to my Myrtle Beach music fam down there who showed me so much love and fun @ Club Toxic. But it was a crazy night! Mad crazy!!!!!! But we had a ball! We brought it back to the Carolinas on Monday had a mini-adventure (journey if you will) getting home! One suspect left turn and we just lost for a few hours. Really! But we got to see the corn fields and the deep southern folk. It was a over all great trip. I can't wait to meet back up with the ladies on Thursday 2 get Avia's B Day popping RIGHT! Yeah we do what we do how we do when we do way big! Now its pass time for a nap.

Proper "Open Mic" Etiquette

So.... I've been to PLENTY of open mics. And I have now decided to blog me a manual. A step by step booklet "bloglet" to help you get your manners in check when it comes to open mics. Because there are some very disrespectful mother funkers out here. & I would not be doing anyone a favor by not hipping them the proper mic etiquette!
1. If you have been invited out to do a set... Please don't do your whole life's works. Please don't do your whole cd! Just honestly in real life! Real talk. Don't nobody want to hear all that shit. It is what it is.
2. In the event of a free style please drop your few bars & pass the mic. Nobody wants to hear a hour long freestyle. Trust me.
3. If you haven't ran your set by someone who is not related to you... Don't come out to do it to a mass group of people. Because more likely then not. It sucks!
4. Don't bring your family and extended family on stage. If a mother fucker you don't know can come on the stage & start doing the running man... HAY! You have 2 many folk on stage with you. If you can't stand out w/o all those people then you really need to rethink your rapping.
5. Don't get mad if someone don't like your track. If you can't take opinions on this level you just need to stop now. Give up lol.
6. Stop taking all these drink bottles on stage. That's just tacky.
7. If you are going to have a hype man please make sure he/she knows the lyrics of your song.
8. Please know the lyrics to your own song! Its nothing sadder then a rapper who don't know their own shit! If your music is not wroth you remembering.... It damn sure aint wroth me remembering!
9. You really never should talk shit to the people in the crowd. You never know who they may be.
10. If I'm in the house and I start playing hip hop duck duck goose. And you feel the tap. Please just step down and pass the mic. No Questions No Back Talk! Just pass the mic. And exit stage right!
